GP-536.1 NEWTON’S RING APPARATUS Consists of a Plano convex lens, 63mm dia and 2000mm focal length, on a flat glass plate of equal dia. Both enclosed in a metal ring frame with compression adjusting screws eqispaced to ensure correct contact between the two elements.  GP-537.2 NEWTON’S RING MICROSCOPE This instrument is compact with full arrangements for conducting Newton’s Ring Apparatus. A standard microscope with 30x magnification is provided with a rotatable crossline and the eye-piece can be focused at the individual requirements. The microscope tube unit can be raised or lowered and clamped at any desired position. The focusing of microscope is though rack and pinion. The longitudinal movement of the microscope saddle for the purpose of measurement of rings is done by rotating the drum provided, The 26mm movement can be read by the scale and divided drum to 0.001cm. This set consists of the optical flat glass and Plano convex lens (100mm radious) arranged inside a metal case resting over the stage of the instrument which is adjustable for the alignment of the measuring line. The condenser lens is provided in front of the reflector. In case the Ring set is removed from the stage, the instrument can be used as a simple compact measuring microscope. The whole instrument is supplied in box.  GP-538.1 DEMONSTRATION DIFFRACTION SLIDE The Apparatus comprises a glass mount 90 x 30mm approximately with three 16 x 9mm apertures, each containing a diffraction grating replica. The gratings are of 2400 lines/inch(96 lines/mm), 7500 lines/inch(300 lines/mm) and 15000 lines/inch(600 lines/mm) respectively, and are protected by cover glasses. The number of lines per inch is marked beneath each grating.  GP-539.1 DIFFRACTION GRATINGS Photographic replica gratings mounted on plate glass and suitable for visual. The grating are of : Select Item Description Type Size .01 2400 lines/mm .02 7500 lines/mm .03 15000 lines/mm  GP-540.1 SET OF ‘CINEMOID’ FILTERS, MOUNTED A set of three primary and three secondary acetate filters suitable for use in optical boxes, etc., and mounted in plastic frames 50x50mm. While not suitable for photographic work, the acetate film is more robust than gelatine for general use.
