GP-496.1 OPTICAL DISC, (MAGNETIC) 500mm diameter, steel, disc is faced with matt white. It is marked every 5°, with extended lines every 10° and 30°, cross lines mark the centre. The disc is mounted on a 25mm diameter steel tube 390mm long which fits into stable base with leveling feet. The disk rotates about its centre and can be locked in any desired positions. The lamphouse holds a 12V, 24 Watt axial filament lamp. This lamphouse is covered by a rotatable outer shield that has various slots. By rotating the shield light beams of varying width can be provided as well as narrow single, double and triple beams. Attached to the lamphouse is an adjustable lens carrier with lens to provide diverging, parallel or converging light beams. The lamphouse is mounted on a rotatable arm that can be locked in any position. A sliding weight on the arm acts as a counterpoise. All optical elements are supplied with magnets attached so that they can be attached at any place on the disc. The lampholder, with 1m of twin flex, is mounted in sliding metal bridge-piece which provides sufficient adjustment to produce covering, parallel or diverging rays. The enameled steel body has slots to support a cylindrical lens and a triple slit screen. Extra slots are provided for filters. Dimensions 182 x 61 x 105mm. The box is supplied complete with lamp and triple slit but without lenses or filters.  GP-500.2 RAY OPTICS KIT Kit consists of two lampholders, each in metal shade with two axial slots and mounted on metal support rod. Holder complete with approximately 1.2m 2-wire P.V.C. covered cable and 12V 24W axial filament lamp. One each right and left hand cylindrical lamp shields, in matt black “combs”, with 17 equi-spaced parallel slots, two black plastic plates, each with single and triple slits, two comb and plate holders, a spring loaded clip mounted on support bracket, four light barriers, four Plano convex cylindrical lenses, 50x50mm, +7D, two each cylindrical lenses 50x50mm, respectively: Plano convex +10D,+17D, Plano concave -17D.  GP-501.1 RAY OPTICS AND COLOUR MIXING BOX The metal box is double ended so that two sets of students can work independently with the same box. Side apertures are provided which accommodate colour filters for colour mixing experiments and have blanking plates for when the side apertures are not in use. The box is provided with a 12V 24W straight filament lamp fixed at the centre of the apparatus while at each end is a sliding grooved frame to carry a convex cylindrical lens together with slit screen and/or filter. Long clear tracks, to triple slit screen, two blank plates for closing side aperture when not in use and 1m of twin flex. Dimensions 308x63x115mm high supplied WITHOUT lenses, filters or other accessories.  GP-501.2 LIGHT BOX AND OPTICAL SET A set of optical apparatus for all types of optical experiment involving reflection, refraction and colour mixing. The principal component is a robust light box finished in Matt black with a 12V 36W S.B.C. axial filament lamp with 0.75m of twin flex. One end of the box has a cylindrical convex lens in an adjustable sliding mount which allows a parallel, convergent or divergent beam to be produced. The other end of the box has a triple aperture system for colour mixing experiments, the lateral apertures being provided with adjustable hinged mirrors. All apertures in the box are provided with vertical channels to hold slit plates and/or colour filters. Optical Accessories included :- Perspex Blocks(Prism):- 1 rectangular, 1 semi-circular, 1triangular prism 60°x60°x60°,1triangular prism 90°x60°x30°, 1 triangular prism 90°x45°x45°. Cylindrical Perspex lenses :- 1 double concave, 1 double convex(both with the same radius curvature)1 thick double convex. Mirror :- 1 plane glass(mounted on stand). Black Plastic Slit Plates :- 1 with three narrow slits and one narrow slit, 1 with four narrow slits and one wide slit. Set of Eight Colour Filters :- Primary red, primary green, primary blue, cyan, violet, yellow, orange, magenta. Set of Eight Coloured Cards :- Red, green, blue, violet, orange, cyan, yellow, pink.
